Andrew became involved as a Project Champion at ACL Bearing Co. on the very first BALT program in 2010. Since then, Andrew has been instrumental in establishing the BALT Coordinating Team and held the position of Chair for over a decade.

Andrew has extensive experience with governance in the for-purpose sector through his involvement with the Scout Association of Tasmania.

Geoff Watson owns and operates CPT Engineering in George Town. Geoff is an entrepreneur and innovative thinker with experience in product development and commercialisation.

CPT Engineering completed a highly successful project in partnership with Bell Bay Aluminium in 2011/2012. Since then, Geoff has been a valued member of the BALT Coordinating Team.

Genevieve Cother is Company Secretary of Business Action Learning Tasmania (BALT). She supports the Board’s governance, compliance and reporting, and helps coordinate board and committee processes.

Genevieve brings deep experience in adult education, action learning, and industry collaboration, with a practical focus on quality systems, partnerships, and sustainable regional impact.

Ian’s background is the Australasian aluminium industry where he has led Operational, Commercial, HSE, IT, Technical, Capital Projects and Business Improvement teams to deliver step change performance.

His passion is helping businesses to unleash their potential by harnessing the capability of their people to improve processes, simplify systems and eliminate red tape.

Magdalena brings a diverse background to the BALT Board. She is an IT industry veteran with international business, operations and marketing management expertise across Europe and Asia Pacific in multinational IT companies Microsoft, SAP, Cisco, Oracle.

Her focus is developing holistic strategy to help organisations maximise their market potential, with a specific interest in Circular Economy transformations, predicted to be a 25 trillion-dollar global transformation.
