Ian has a trade background with five years post trade experience, including three years overseas. Ian spent 28 years in the automotive supplier business with ACL Bearing Company. Ian worked as a Team Leader in a Just-in-Time, fast moving goods, ISO 9001 quality environment across all aspects of the plant from continuous casting, sintering and bearing production. Ian also oversaw company-wide training, provided technical support, prepared documented procedures, carried out internal auditing and maintained FMEAs.
More recently, Ian has been Operations Manager with CPT Victoria, a general repetition engineering company that manufactures aluminium, steel, copper and brass fittings, tubes and items that are used in a wide range of applications. Ian dealt directly with customers and suppliers and oversaw all aspects of management within the company including safety, human resources, administration, training, production planning, engineering and quality.
Ian has proven organisational skills with a ‘hands on’ approach and an ability to get the best out of people, safely, by coaching and developing teams.
